A family run bistro with leather sofas and log fires and a warm welcome.
Specializing in high quality home cooked food, using only the freshest ingredients, nothing is bought in pre made.
Local farms supply our meat, beef has been hung for at least 3 weeks, a local cheese maker supplies our cheese, vegetables where possible from local suppliers also.
A large garden and a very comfortable interior for dining, or drop in for a pint of real ale. Champagne available by the glass, a selection of coffees, and freshly squeezed orange juice available.
Opening hours
Tuesday - Thursday 12 noon to 12 midnight.
Friday & Saturday 12noon - 3pm & 6pm to 12 midnight
Open all day Sunday
Traditional Sunday Roast served from 12 until 4pm
Live jazz music from 4pm on the first Sunday of every month.

On all of our menus at The Tapster we are proud to say that all the dishes are produced on site. We do not buy in frozen or pre-prepared foods, so any variation you may wish to make it is usually possible, please ask.
We dont offer bar snacks however by pre-arrangment we can have sandwiches available e.g. for walking parties/ramblers etc.
