The George InnA lovely country pub built in 1540 it has three inglenook fireplaces, the pub has a wealth of character with many old beams. The George Inn was converted from a private dwelling into a public house 1718.

In 1985 extensive renovations were carried out to the building, which greatly enhanced the fine period features of the building. Originally a farm dwelling, part of the estate of Thomas Hart, "Gentleman, of Faversham", it became a coaching inn in the 18th century and registered as 'The George' in honour of King George I

The George offers a fine selection of Shepherd Neame ales, brewed in Faversham 4 miles to the north east, together with a comprehensive selection of wines.

The George Inn RestaurantThe excellent menu is available every day for both lunch and dinner and will suit all varieties of taste. There is also a blackboard featuring specials of the day. There is a large and attractive garden at the rear of the pub which is occasionally used for live music and annually for the village fete.

The landlords, Chris and Marie Annand have very successfully combined the needs of locals, who drop in for a pint, with those who wish to dine in a traditional olde worlde setting
